Old and new combine to create a luxury family home. This project consisted of the renovation and extension to an existing cottage in Mosman. The home is located in a heritage conservation zone so the front façade had to stay in keeping with the original style and we added a new modern two storey extension to the rear. The existing potion of the home was delicately renovated and rejuvenated to bring it up to current standards and new flooring was laid throughout to give the old and new a continuous flow and connection.
The juxtaposition of old and new meets at a central feature stair case and then leads out into a beautiful open plan kitchen and living space. The inside then flows out onto the rear terrace and level rear yard that is complete with feature planting, specialised garden lighting and a feature built on site off form concrete bench seat.
