Jakin Luxury Living was established in 2005 by James Watkin with the sole purpose of being industry leaders in the design and construction of luxury homes, pools and landscaping.
By combining all these elements we are able to produce a property that looks fantastic, functions for your family and is as maintenance free as possible so you can enjoy your valuable time at home with family and friends. We specialise in all factors of construction including knockdown and new builds, extensions, renovation, pools and spas, outdoor living areas and landscaping. The one constant between all Jakin projects is our attention to detail and superior customer service.

This is achieved by having a full-time dedicated site manager on each project and insisting on only using the best suppliers, materials and tradespeople to ensure that the quality of construction is unparalleled. This is backed up by a highly skilled and dedicated office and management team to ensure that the project runs on-time and on-budget.
We understand that often people are very busy and don’t have time to engage a separate architect, a builder, a swimming pool builder and a landscaper so that is where we step in. We can handle the design, the council approval process, and the construction of all elements so you only have to deal with 1 person, have 1 contract and 1 point of contact. At Jakin we are constantly keeping up with industry changes and trends to give our clients the absolute latest and best including the many advances in sustainable and smart home living. At Jakin, we strive for excellence on all projects and are multi award winners in the Master Builders excellence in housing awards.

JAMES WATKIN
James began his time in the building industry in 2002 as an apprentice carpenter with one of Sydney’s leading builders. Whilst undertaking his apprenticeship he studied at night to achieve his Builders licence and then formed Jakin in 2005. From the outset James has had a love of building, a key eye for detail and has always strived for perfection. James credits much of his success not only to his building ability but by ensuring that he has a personal relationship with each of his clients and by maintaining open and concise communication that builds trust.
James is a very active member of the Master Builders Association and has previously held positions of Treasurer and Vice president of the Parramatta Cumberland Division. James is driven to be the best possible builder he can be and often attends industry seminars and information days to continue his professional development and to gain knowledge on the latest industry trends and innovations, so he can pass this information onto his clients.

On a day to day basis, James undertakes all client introductions and sales, completes all estimating and quoting and looks after the contract administration of the projects. Being a carpenter by trade he also can’t keep himself away from the building sites and is always dropping in and offering advice throughout the project duration.
Outside of work, James is a family man who loves to spend time with his wife Brooke and 3 children Jett, Tyler and Cove. When not in the office, James can be found coaching the local rugby team or out fishing with his friends and family.
