This expertly designed renovation and extension in Vaucluse showcases how thoughtful architecture, landscaping, and pool design can transform a home into a private luxury oasis.

The modern rear extension features a visually striking curved roofline, crafted from roll-formed structural steel to create a wave-like form that cantilevers over the outdoor dining and living spaces, providing both shelter and architectural drama. The rear elevation is almost entirely composed of floor-to-ceiling stacking doors, fostering a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, and enhancing views of the pool and garden.

The sense of continuity is further strengthened by the use of natural sandstone “crazy paving” throughout the interiors, exterior terraces, and pool surrounds, creating a harmonious flow that blurs the boundaries between inside and out.

Beyond the extension, the existing home was fully renovated, including bathrooms, kitchen, windows, flooring, and painting. All services and plumbing were replaced, ensuring the house functions as new while maintaining its elevated aesthetic.

At the heart of the project is the large swimming pool and meticulously landscaped gardens, featuring an eclectic mix of plantings that evoke a luxurious, laid-back Palm Springs vibe. The result is a home that seamlessly blends modern design, comfort, and outdoor living into a true private sanctuary.
